Bridges Therapy CentreJAMH — Jewish Action for Mental HealthThe Mind Training Clinic

Psyara accepts referrals from therapists, psychologists, coaches, employee wellbeing providers and private GPs across England.

We don't offer therapy, counselling or coaching, and we never ask you to pause your work. We add the medical layer: diagnosis, medication where appropriate, and GP liaison. Then we hand your client straight back to you.

What your client receives

Consultant-led assessment

A psychiatric assessment with a GMC-registered consultant psychiatrist.

A clear clinical plan

A written diagnostic report and treatment plan, usually within two weeks of completed forms.

Connected care

With your client's consent, we send you the assessment outcome and treatment plan.

What we assess and treat

General adult psychiatry

  • Depression and persistent low mood
  • Anxiety and panic
  • OCD
  • PTSD, including complex PTSD
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Stress and burnout
  • Sleep difficulties with a mental health cause

Adult ADHD

  • Full NICE-aligned diagnostic assessment
  • Screening for co-occurring anxiety and depression
  • 12-week medication titration

Not sure which fits your client? Start with a general assessment — our psychiatrist explores all contributing factors, including ADHD.

When to consider a psychiatric referral

You know your client best. A psychiatric view adds something when:

  • progress has plateaued and you suspect a biological driver, such as depression, anxiety or bipolar disorder
  • the picture is unclear: ADHD or anxiety, low mood or bipolar, trauma or attention difficulties
  • your client asks about medication, or current medication isn't working
  • a formal diagnosis would support your work, workplace adjustments or a GP conversation

We assess every client ourselves. We don't prescribe on an outside diagnosis alone.

Why a psychiatric assessment will help you and your patient

Here's what a psychiatric assessment offers you and the people you refer to us.

  1. 1. One assessment, not two

Our assessments are led by consultant psychiatrists, so diagnosis and treatment planning happen in one place.

  2. 2. Physical health considered

Poor concentration, low mood and anxiety can have physical causes, such as thyroid problems, sleep disorders or side effects of other medicines. We take these into account as part of the assessment.

  3. 3. Overlapping conditions

ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma and bipolar disorder can look alike. Telling them apart matters, because the right treatment depends on it.

  4. 4. Safe prescribing from the start

When medication is appropriate, we complete the physical health checks NICE recommends before treatment begins, including heart health, blood pressure and any other medicines your client takes.

  5. 5. Joined-up care with the GP

With your client's consent, we write to their GP and, where appropriate, request a shared care agreement. If the GP declines shared care, we'll discuss the options with you and your client.

  6. 6. When a psychologist may be the better route

If your client needs detailed cognitive testing or an autism assessment, a psychologist may be better placed to help. If we think that's the case, we'll tell you.

How referral works

  1. 1

    You refer.

Complete the referral form with your client's consent. It takes about five minutes.

  2. 2

    We confirm.

We acknowledge every referral and contact your client directly.

  3. 3

    Free eligibility check.

Your client completes a short screening. If we're not the right service, we tell them before they pay.

  4. 4

    Assessment.

A consultant psychiatrist assesses your client by secure video.

  5. 5

    Outcome.

Your client receives a written report and plan. With consent, you receive the outcome too.

  6. 6

    Back to you.

Therapy continues with you. We manage the medical side.

Who conducts the assessment?
A GMC-registered consultant psychiatrist, not a delegated nurse or assistant.
Do you only assess ADHD?
No — general adult psychiatry is our clinical foundation, alongside ADHD.
Will the therapist hear the outcome?
Yes. With client consent, you receive the full diagnostic summary and clinical plan.
What happens if the GP declines shared care?
We continue private follow-up reviews (£180) so your client is never left stranded.
